Sven Sauer, PhD., M.D., J.D. studied Medicine and Law in Frankfurt and Mainz, Germany. As a certified physician and lawyer he is member of the medical association and the bar association in Frankfurt. His medical experience is in Neurology and Neuroradiology (MRI/CT), his legal expertise in medical and medical malpractice law.

For several years he gained international consulting experience at McKinsey & Company in the Pharma/Healthcare sector, before he joined Eli Lilly and Company, where he held national and international leadership positions in Strategic Planning, Sales, European Public Policy, and Corporate Affairs.

Sven Sauer was also Secretary General of FOPI, the trade association of the research based pharmaceutical industry in Austria.
